Day 2 - arrival

On day 2 of the trip, we woke up at the hotel and got the breakfast provided at the hotel, then we got on the bus on the way to a site called Seminole canyon, and the base camp of Angel Outfitters. First, we went to Seminole canyon and viewed ancient cave paintings, as well as names written by 2 railroad workers. After that, we got back on the bus and started again on the way to the headquarters for Angel expeditions.

When got to headquarters, we tried to set up tents but we were all getting swarmed by gnats, there were so many they would fly into your eyes, nose, and sometimes your mouth. When they weren't blinding us they were biting, and the bites would give us itchy bites that plagued us for the rest of the trip. After we finally unpacked the whole bus and set up our tents and stuff, we escaped the bugs to a pavilion that our instructors had set up with anti-bug incense and food. We ate a fulfilling dinner and met our Guides; Charlie, Taylor, and Kat. They had 2 dogs that were adorable as well. Their names were Sissy (left) and Bud (right).

It also happened to be Bernardo's birthday, and someone brought a bunch of candles, so we got a banana (because there was no cake or similar sweet), so that Ira and Mr.Roddy put candles in the banana and gave it to him to celebrate his special day.
That was an excellent end to the day, so we all went to bed.
